NAPA Auto Parts used to carry a ABS repair kit. I think it was around 20 bucks....check with them as they may still have them or can order them. I got one from them once to repair a two man scamp.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    Default How I'd do it

I've dissolved abs shavings into a jar containing a few ounces of MEK (methyl ethel ketone)..Dissolve enough ABS into the MEK to make a thick syrupy paste..Vee the sides of the crack as if preparing to weld..Then dribbles some of the goop into the Vee and let it melt in and bond the two parts together..Will take a few applications to build up and smooth it out..Done carefully its a strong repair...Ohhh and MEK is sold in plumbing dept as glue for ABS and PVC.. I learned this from a tool and die maker, seen him build prototypes with ABS and the joints looked like perfect welding beads..

The one I use looks kinda like a soldering iron. You feed the plastic welding rods thru the solder foot.
