Depth Finder Help

I am in the process of choosing a new depth finder and I am looking at a Humminbird 597ci Combo. Does anyone have one of these units and if so, what do you think about it. It's a bunch a bucks for something Im not really sure about so any input would be appreciated.

I do not know much about HB. I have always ran Lowrance with good luck so far. The 500 series are pretty good units for the money. I have a 510c on the front of my Champion and a 332c with GPS in the dash. I can watch jigs on the screen of the 510c. Had a Garmin up there when I bought the boat but could not tell what I was looking at with it. I have confidence in the Lowrance and what they are showing me so I have stuck with them. Buy the best you can afford and get to know it. I spent a whole day with mine tweeking it in around cover that I knew for sure what was.
