Wind effect is my major sticking point with 'toons.
All, i am thinking about selling y '87 Ranger 357V fish and ski witha 120 Johnson and gettinga 2000 20 bass buggy with a 70 merc. What would be the pros and cons of the toon over the F/S. I am leaning toward selling and getting the toon just for more room. Opinions needed and welcomed.

Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
My dad has a 24' Grumman toon. We have had alot of fun fishing the whole family out of it. It is not, however, very good in wind or any situation where pinpoint boat position is important. It is one heck of a nightstalking rig ( plenty of room to stretch out and a gas grill to boot). I prefer my 18' triton for most fishing apps.
I guess since I am much older now (63+) I would prefer a pontoon just to take the wife and grandchildren out to fish. It is more peaceful, roomier and ability to just relax and stretch out as opposed to run and gun style I did when I had my bass boat. It depends on what goals you have set for fishing and relaxing.

I like to fish from pontoon boats...not real crazy about trailering them though.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
