Wapp. fish size

Speck posted a pic of a good fish, for me, and for what I've mostly seen, for Wapp. There are guys that frequent the board that catch some good fish there, more often than occasionally, but I'm not one of them.
There are some tourneys there, and a ten fish limit will weigh ten or so pounds, more or less, so where are all the one pounders. I don't expect an answer, just typing/thinking out loud. I have caught some decent fish there, and a MESS of dinks, but there doesn't appear to be a pattern at all. I just pick up a decent fish here and there, and with very few exceptional trips,never more than one in the same place. There seems to be plenty of shad around.
Things that make you go, hmmmm.
