    Default Grand still slow

My son and I picked up the legendary goat herder and hit the lake for about two hours. Ended up with 5 nice ones. All were released to be caught another day as usual. One was tournament size. My first one will take a few years to be tournament quality. Who says 3" is to big of a bait.

Jeff with a couple nice ones.

I have to agree with you on that Jared! I had a club tourney Sunday and it was tough took 8.48 lbs on 10 fish to win.

    Default Goat Herder

Went to the Ron school of holding crappie, lessons will have to be taught, right after I purchase my next slingshot...... You are right I am not sure if 5" bait is to big, I have caught 2 and 3" crappie on 2" tubes...... glad you got out and sounds like you had that net expert with you....... good time, not sure I could take old goat for 2 hours......:D:D

Net man was on point and did a great job as usual but said he was getting bored because we were not catching enough to keep him busy. He even told Jeff and I he was going to stop fishing for a while to try and help us out. Jeff had to get back to the store to sell a bow and buy a gun or we could have caught a few more. Only fished two little tree rows. Probally only burned 30 cents in fuel. Not to bad of a ramp for gravel.

Nice pic's guys. For a goathearder he needs to learn how to show off the fish. I guess Mrs JJ will have to teach him also.:D

Tournament size to me is 1 1/4 lb or bigger. Roughly what it takes to get in the money in a tournament on Truman 8 3/4 to 9 lbs.
