SI Not just for fishing anymore!

The side Imagaining fish finders aren't just for fishing anymore, not around here anyway.
Last week-end on my Lake, a skier fell and the boat swung around to pick him up and run over him with the boat. He went down and didn't come back up. They closed the lake down to any boats for most of the week until they located the guy. They searched for most of the week, but couldn't locate the body. A fisherman went down to the lake to fish and was told that the lake was closed until they located the body. They told him they was trying for a week but couldn't find him. The fisherman told them to let him look for the body with his SI Unit. All he needed to know was where did they suspect the body to be. After a further discussion they finally allowed him to try to find the body. Within 45 minutes he had the body located for the divers to retrive. There are a lot of RED FACED Officials now, that are probably considering buying a SI unit.
And wouldn't you know that he was found in my cove. That ought to take care of fishing for awhile in there. I wonder how much of my structure is left in tact. EB

All big fire departments in northern Illinois that have water rescue units/boats have 997 & 1197 as standard equipment on their boats. The units have proved themselves time after time. They have their own web site for helping & showing other depts what body looks like etc........

I know some of the TX GW boats are also equiped with 997....

I think the departments that came and found the 2 duck hunters that drowned in Ky Lake back early in the year were from somewhere in Ill...using SI....

This is a private Lake so the County Sheriffs Dept has jurisdiction. Small county and behind the times. They don't want Big City Ways injected on them. They want to keep it a little one horse town. They have kept several businesses out of their towns. They say it will change the look of their towns. EB

Beav, the older I get the more I think the same way...Don't like crowds or heavy traffic...
