Default Mounting my newly aquired TZur trolling motor.

I ran into problems, but I finally got it mounted. Biggest problem was that the trolling motor was almost as long as the boat and not many mounting options...lol... I did a lot of "sifering" before I drilled the holes. The new troller was 24v, so I had to add another battery. The troller called for a 50 amp circuit breaker, so I put in a resetable breaker which can also be used as a switch. This is a digital troller and the manuf recommends removing power when not in use. I added a Dual Pro 20 amp on board charger so I wouldn't have to hassle with wagging battery chargers around. Paul and Vonna stopped by, so Paul helped me mount some of this stuff. Thanks Paul. I still haven't put it in the water, but the motor spins when I push the button. This is a good sign..ha.. This will give me a good reason to go fishing this coming weekend (like I need one). I am going from a 36 lb. thrust 12v troller, to a 71 lb. thrust 24v troller. Paul thinks it will put my little boat on plane. One thing for sure, I want have to run for cover as soon as I used to have to do when the southwest and northeast winds come up here.

I figured it cost me about 400 bucks to get the troller mounted. Lucky me. I won enough at Tunica this past week to cover the cost of mounting all this troller stuff...

Sounds like your about to find out how well you like the new TM.
I have to go and pick up a set of battery's for mine. They died after only 2 years.

I'm sure you will love the new trolling motor. There is a BIG difference between 12 volt and 24 volt. You will never want to go back to a 12 volt again. So much more power. You will be able to fish in wind you normally would not fish in.
    Good luck buddy.
