Them dogs are good company though. Mine has figured out that when the bobber goes down, a fish is on. He starts whinin and running back and forth. If I could teach him to hold a pole he woulld probably out fish me!!
I have been saying how it has been about 3 weeks since I had a 1.5 or better, well broke the spell this pm... this puppy weighed about 1.8 first fish of the afternoon.... Had to put up with dam (copper) dog... had to tell him to get his azz to the middle seat he was in mine...(seniority) but as the afternoon moved along I found out he is one smart dog, about bit the tail off my big crappie, and then he would bark at Ron for not catching any, finally after a long spell Ron catches a drum...... little shaver looks at Ron, looks at drum, back at Ron, then comes over and puts his paw on my leg and I know he was saying OSS you da man...... we put in at berry around 1:30 pm kinda windy but we fought it, darn lightin' around 3:30 pm and we said by.... We had at least one limit of keepers but didn't keep any...but the old big one was the only real pig we caught .they were working on the ramp at berry and it looks nice, new boards, new white rubber skirt around it...... Most fish came from 15' fow down 6 to 10'. could see down at least a foot or more.... blue/white and orange/chart.. man we left just in time rained hard on us all the way home...... I just thought minner pumps was a pain in the butt, I had to avoid stepping on a dam dog dish and water bowl.... the things I go through to go fishing.......

Old Ron looks pretty content with dog in arm.
I think I kind of remember the days way back when, well you know, when I could get the wind blown look going.
Sounds like a good day to me. Congrats on the pig.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
Congrats on the big one. Brave battling the weather.
