Fold it properly into a triangle and make a shadow box and display it proudly on your wall. You can add a placque to it, to tell of its personal history. Just an idea! EB

I have taken care of many old flags for people. I fold them into the standard triangle and then take to my American Legion post, they have a proper flag burn ceremony they perform. Just give your Local American Legion Post a phone call, they will be more than glad to accept your old flag & give it the respect it deserves. Please do not discard in any other manner.

I am with you EB and just let the flag tell the story with some words added in. Could be very cool!

Take it to a VFW Post or an American Legion Post and they will take care of it properly. Been there done that. They appreciate it when you dispose of a flag the right way.

Around Memorial Day and Veterans Day you will always find the VFW, American Legion, Boy Scouts, and schools ROTC units having Flag Burning ceremonies.
