MTL Worst Day

Fished MTL Saturday 9/24 and took along my brother (the one with the cloud over his head). Fished from Lick Creek to Florida Point and did not get a fish worth keeping. Lots of shorts but even this were very slow.
My brother took a nap and left my favorite pole hanging over the edge of the boat. I looked back just in time to see it snap in two. To top it off as I was idleing at the ramp waiting for my brother to get the truck the boat motor began to smoke like a skeeter fogger. Oh well it still beat the he__ out of work.

Recommend fishing up the rivers and coves as fall moves in. Fish and shad move up the rivers and into the shallows. Fish bridge piers as staging areas as the fish move up. We fished 9-25 at LOZ and caught 25 keepers, 10-13 inchers following the fall movements. Fish caught down 6-15 feet. Most bites were hard. Good luck and try again, it should only get better next 6 weeks.
