there are nice fish to be found in the old river beds, sloughs and Bar pits along the Mississippi river usually find bigger fish in them as long as they have not been fished hard. They get restocked everytime the river gets out.
Do any of you crappie fishermen in west Tennesee fish the smaller lakes or ponds inside the loop on the Mississippi river? I've heard ther are some good crappie in them..I've fished Reelfoot for years.I'm thinking about bringing a small boat with me next spring.along with my tracker.. Thanks for any infor

I fish these oxbos and sloughs and do very good. The only problem you will have is finding some of them and getting access.
Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.
