I have always heard people say crappie dont bite much in the summer in Florida. Now that its mid Sept. when do they start to bite?

There is plenty of good crappie water in Florida.
I fish the Harris chain and have had good fishing the last few years.
The St. John's can be very good at times. I amagine there would be too much water at this time. Hope to get down around the first of Nov. and fish all this area during the winter months. Usually Jan and Feb are the best ,but other times are also good,
