If you own an add-a-seat but might not use it every trip or if you are thinking of buying one or a double seat system, you have 2 great arms for making a umbrella support base out of. I think I'm gonna like this. These colorful umbrellas were all I could find and for $5 each I couldn't turn them down. I simply took one of the support arms from the add-a-seat and reversed it and removed their support pedestal and slid it over mine and then placed a piece of pvc next to a swivel-ease seat post and secured it with 2 hose clamps. 6 foot circle of shade is all I'm seeing outta this deal. Thanks add-a-seat. This is awesome. I was going to try and build something but started looking at the arms that came with my seat and made this thing up. I was looking at spending about $30-40 per seat to MAKE 2 holders that could "hold up" to wind, etc and was just able to add that money into the add-a-seat and still get 2 umbrella holders.
COST BREAK DOWN...
Umbrella.....$5
2 Hose clamps.....$3
ARM.....Came with add-a-seat

If you have both seats up front with your Add-A-Seat you can do the same thing by putting the umbrella pole in the middle. I was wondering if this would work but I do not use an umbrella. Too hard-headed I guess.
