Default Oh This Rita! Prayer Please.

She is looking more and more like it's coming to my neighborhood. I am a little over 100 miles inland, but most friends and family are much closer and I will have a house full this weekend. Even this far inland we will probably get winds higher than Hurricane force. Now if the trees in my yard stay off my house I'll be OK.

So if you all get a few minuted please say a prayer for all here near the Texas coast.

In our prayers. I live in Meridian MS which is a little over 100 miles inland right on the Ala. line and Katrina was still a cat. 1 when it got here and it was pretty bad still. Lots of big old trees in town and a lot went down. Most people lost power from 3 to 8 days. I didn't have a generator but my neighbor did and we would run it for 3 hrs at his place and 3 hrs. at mine so we were able to save our freezer and refrig. I have a generator and more gas cans full of gas now. It twisted off the pines and uprooted the pecans and oaks. Those pecans look like they come down real easy. I think the water in the Gulf is more shallow over there and maybe that will cause it to weaken more. We will pray for all of you.

Jeff, God listens to anyone, who wants to talk with him. He doesn't have selective hearing, like most of us men are accused of, lol. To those in the path of Rita may God Protect and Keep You.

My prayers are with you my crappie.com friend. My the good Lord watch over you and your family.
For what it is worth Briggs has been having us make generator and power washer engines all week. Thank goodness they are a lot easier to build than the snow blower engines we normally build this time of the year.
