I was corresponding with a very good Indiana angler recently who suggested I might look into designing big swimming jigs for larger largemouth bass.

Read an article he provided, authored by Steve Quinn, and proceded in the direction of jig #1 appearing in this photo.



Here's what I've tied, so far.











I plan to tie another version of the brown jig with extended saddle hackles. It might be an interesting jig to fish for larger smallmouth bass in my local river.

The bottom jig is slimmer and might be best for striped bass, larger white bass, or wipers.
