serving crappie at reelfoot?

I heard an ad the other day that blue bank was now serving crappie. I thought the state [TWRA] stopped this when they stopped the commercial fishing for crappie. If anybody has any info let us know. Thanks,Lynn

I have no idea about laws in TN. etc. but many small fish/grocery store in Illinois sell crappie in their fish display cases here, along with walleye etc. They all say the bluegills, crappie, & walleye come from Canada.By the way the gills & crappie are always whole(not cleaned/gutted) in the case.

I read in the state gazette that they would be serving crappie. Don't remember which one but I was suprised by it.

I remember awhile back on another thread that you could buy crappie from Canada from the indians.

I think if you bring your catch in they will cook if for.

when i worked up home i used to order in my brim from Okachobe, state stamped with a small lil round GOV. inspected tab.
But man i really took a hit from Whole sale to retail!
And you can believe the state man was in every MO.
