The old green 1/2 ton Z-71 GMC is going strong. 342,000 miles on the original motor and tranny. I have had to spend some money along the way on her, but I trust it to get me to where I need to go. No older than I am I remember when 100,000 on an american motor was good. The old gal is still kicking, she loves gas, but hasn't taken up the oil addiction yet. No, she isn't pretty, paint is peeling, camper needs painting, the body is all scratched up, but she is dependable. If she decides to retire tomorrow, I will have another Obama owned truck the day after. FATBOY

I saw a ford 3/4 ton diesel in manchester 2 - 3 weeks ago, extended cab, not too old for 11,000. Looked real good. Didn't stop, more than I need. Brother in law had a GMC whose trans got terminal. Rebuild shop wanted 1850, he got a new one thru the dealer for 1600 and paid for the torque converter and the swap. I'd rather have new parts m'self. Good luck. If I see anything I'll call.
