Default Underwater structure, not sure what it is.

I am fishing an area that I was told by an old timer is an old pond wall. Well, if this is the case, than on top of the wall is this structure.

I found this structure two years ago, any thoughts?

Could be a over flow - spillway.

It seems to be sitting on top of a ridge or perhaps a levee so it could be a spillway. The depth on both sides are the same so if it was a pond it wasn't dug but just enclosed.

First thought was a piece of farm equipment, looks a little like sides are cut out for wheels?? Looks like one side has some kind of hinge tho.... maybe flood gate??

Looks like bait fish are holding on that hump.

Spillway. The little dots at the top look like diverters. I have seen those on many. My vote is definetly spillway.

I think Gene nailed this one right on the $$$$. The ridge is very easy to see, & by the shading U can see spillway is higher in center than at both lips. Very good job on photo by the way. Also looks like much of the pond is silted smooth, probably much of soft dirt walls were washed away during the flooding of the area, leaving spillway & some rock base there. My 2 cents....
