    Default Yesterday at Lake Barkley

I went down to the lake yesterday afternoon at about 6:30. Water temp was 91.5 degrees at the surface. I fished along a ledge until I caught a crappie and then threw out a marker. I stayed in the same area, within 100' of the marker using one pole with minnows and caught 14 by 8:30. I anchored down and put out some lights and 3 more poles and fished a while longer. I caught 6 more by 9:30 and the white bass and drum started eating up my bait so I packed up and went home. Now the old woman wants to go, so I've got to take her this evening.

I was fishing in 13-14' of water and caught most of them near the bottom.

Great catch. Even when it's hot, they have to eat. You found some. Enjoy.

I went back Friday evening and had to take the wife. I didn't get much chance to fish. I was busy tying on hooks and sinkers for her. We caught 17, but most were barely legal. We only had a couple of big ones.
