    Default Lowrance StructureScan™ Preview June 2, 2009

These videos might interest somebody. Lowrance has leased this side scan technology from Humminbird, so I'm told. I'm not sure how it could be better than humminbird's version....but who knows!

I just hope the competition between these 2 companies never ends. If it does, we as consumers will be the ones to loose.

I agree. Competition benefits us all. I look forward to seeing the actual product. If it is even better that Humminbirds Side Imaging, I will probably faint. It is already so cool, I don't leave home without it.

    Default Nothing Official

Maybe the web or on here I think.

    Question to Lowrance...
"When will Lowrance come out with a side looking/side scanning sonar similar or identical or better than the Humminbird 997 C SI combo. I will purchase this unit unless you can tell me your version is within the near future.> >"

    Answer from Lowrance...
    "Thank you for your inquiry,
This technology is currently under a patent and not something that we can use. If you have any other questions about any other Lowrance unit please feel free to contact us again.

Thank you for choosing Lowrance Electronics.

Yes we all know the 997 ducer is about same size as a one dollar bill. Maybe U could lay a dollar bill next to it would give a nice comparison for those having trouble with ducer kicking up at hi speeds.
