    Default DIY fiberglass fish

I have been slacking on the lure making since I decided to try making something even cooler! Fiberglass fish reproductions!!! This was all done in my garage with materials you can get at your local Home Depot or large auto parts store. If you are patient and have good attention to detail, you can cast pretty much any fish that swims. I used a bluegill for my first experiment, and will be trying a crappie next.

The fish is a bluegill my daughter caught at a farm pond last weekend.:D The last picture shows the fish after the first step of the painting process. IMO, it is already starting to look pretty COOL!!!:D:D:D Will update and post pic of finished project.

Pic 1 shows the original bluegill laying in the front half of the mold.
Pic 2 shows the back half of the mold with 1 new casting of the fish and a casting with the flashing removed and seam repaired.
Pic 3 shows some squirrely dude holding his "trophy".
