Is there something special about that particular attractor as opposed to other kinds, just curious.

I have some out that has never produced. I know location is critical. When West Point was down 15 ft i had to relocate some. I know for a fact the bamboo is cheaper. More difficult to handle . I have caught fish off the BOO,and none on the PVC. Again i stress location.

I have caught quite a few nice crappie off of a porcupine attractor. As with any attractors it is the location that is most important. EB

There are a ton of fish on that attractor. Put the GPS coordinates up for sale on E-Bay.

This is just my opinion, but I don't have much luck with PVC here. Probably works better in clear water with little other structure.

I have thought of a couple of pvc type structures in the middle of a bunch of boo of cedars as a kind of snag free center.

I catch a lot of fish off of the porcupine attractors. Location is the major factor. No doubt that wood is the best thing you can put out to attract fish. However, it is very hard work putting wood in a lake. And a lot of people including myself are not able to do that kind of work physically. That's why I use porcupine attractors. They are very easy to put together and they are light weight. It takes a long time for plastic to get covered up with goop and start attracting minnows then the crappie. I usually put my porcupines out in the summer time when the water is very warm. That way they have the rest of the summer to get covered up and start attracting minnows. I have them in all depths of water. I use shorter pipe for shallow water and longer pipe for deeper water and have caught fish on most of them. The biggest drawback is it does take a long time to start catching fish on them. However, they will still be there long after you and I are long gone.
