    Default Best 2# Test Line?

I use to use a Shakespear mono that had surprisingly little stretch and good feel. No longer being made, unfortunately, so now I'm looking for a replacement. Yeah, I know there are a lot of line companies making 4# test and up, but very few make 2# test. Any suggestions?

Try the P-Line Floroclear, they have it in 2lb test. I am thinking about putting P-line on all my reels. it cost more but I think it's worth it.

Tectan sold by Cabela's. Once you try it, it will be the only line you use.

I have used p-line, and never will again. Holds too much memory.

Hey PlumCrappie - which P-Line did you try? I used FluroClear and loved it, but did try the CX-Premium and I think it is even better - very strong and abrasion resistent.

Best 2# line ever made is Trilene XL in 12#. LOL.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Thanks for the input folks! I'll give that Tectan a shot next I guess. But I have a fondness for Trilene as well. Wish their new fluorocarbon line was in 2# test.

Tectan is a very good line, but it is pre-stretched (like Stren Magnathin.) If that's not an issue, you should love it.

Tectan is not that well known, but it does have something of a cult following.
