Black Lake NY

I'm going to black lake the 3rd week in July, could any body tell me where to start to look for the crappie and what to start fishing with for them? I never fished for them in this lake. Going to be there for a week and would like to get some to have a fish fry and to freeze up for the winter. So if any one can help me I would be very appreciative, thanks.

Not familiar with Black Lake - that's in the SE part of Upstate, right?

I know we've got some members from out that way, just can't think of who.

look up McClears on Black Lake ,they have cabins and a good bait store ,They are very helpful ,they crappie fish as well ,we went up there 4 years ago .did good on the bluegill but no crappie or pike
