Default How crazy is Truman on the 4th?

Thinking about bringing the family over to Truman to fish either Thurs night or Fri and stay the holiday weekend (Bucksaw), but was wondering if somebody could tell us exactly how crazy it gets there with the pleasure-boat crowd.

For instance, we won't even consider going to LOZ on most weekends, especially a holiday weekend. And we did Mark Twain last Labor Day weekend and found it was CRAZY... running the main channels was a gauntlet, there were 40+ boats milling around the ramp when we were trying to take out, etc.

Not sure where we'd be headed to fish around there (I guess wherever the c.c gurus tell us they're biting!).

Thanks for the feedback guys(and gals)!

only done LOZ for the 4th and it was an absolute zoo! don't blame you for not wanting to take the fam there, not sure about Truman? Bucksaw was super busy this past weekend, and can only imagine that it will be more busy next weekend; but he fishing was GREAT! not sure what next round of storms will do to the fishing?

and ditto on what blue carp said.

Truman isn't real bad, Ralph. Get your campsite soon tho.

Good advice. There were only 2 sites left with elec hookup (to charge batteries).

Just booked it: We'll be in B7 if anybody wants to stop by and say hello!
Good advice also about fishing early. I think we're going to try fishing early AND late - might try out my new green-light-tube.

Ther are a lot of ramps that you can put in at besides Bucksaw. Would save you alot of ramp and lake traffic and put you closer to the fish. Just not as handy as Bucksaw since it is the closest.
