    Default Hot Fishing

What a difference a day can make.....

Mrs JJ and I headed to Bucksaw early Sat morning and met up with the Fish Whispr pair. We started at G14 - went up around Long Shoal and back to G14 IT WAS HOT out there on Saturday!!

I started out using a jig and Mrs JJ started with minnows - after Mrs JJ had 6 in the boat and I had none I switched to minnows - we quit early afternoon 2 short of our limit - we were trying to only keep 10+ in fish and wanted to get back for the Crappie Masters weigh in.

A front and storm moved though the area Sat night and we hit it again early Sun morning. The air temp was about 10 degrees cooler - but the fishin was HOT - we went to G14 and never left :D We had our limit by 8:30 and headed back to the marina. I still didn't have much luck with a jig bite and did try it again Sun a.m. but after Mrs JJ had 5 keepers and I had zip again I switched to minnows. There was no thump - they were just there and the bigger fish seemed to be off the trees a bit - fished 10 ft deep in 18-24 fow. Our biggest 7 weighed 7 lb.

Sounds like a great morning, Gary. Congrats to you two. I hope to hit it a couple times this week.

At Least You Catch On Quick. I Need A Leader. Someone To Figure Things Out. I'm A Little Slow To Change Bait. Just Ask Chris. He Can Put It On Me For A Half A Day Before I Change. He Will Switch To a Minnow And I Will Stay W/ a Jig And Minnow. Whats The Big Difference? Twice As Many Fish...... That's The Difference

WTG, jj's. Glad you two got into a quick bite. Any day is a good day fishing, but the two hour 30 fish trips, are the best.
