    Question Jig poles

I am in the market for a new jeg poles. Looking at 11' BnM Sam Heaton Super senitive, but have read that the tips break. I am also considering a Wally Marshall jig pole (and perhaps others), but senitivity is important, but also do not want to be replacing tips.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have 8 BnM jig poles. 4 of them are the 12' ultra lites. Have had excellent results with them.
Don't use the tip to unhang yourself, and net the biguns, and you will like them.

I have two Mr Crappie 12' rods and two 9' rods and they have given great service. They are all the "pro" model rods with the cork grip, seem to have a better feel than the regular rods. The line guides are close together at the tip and I have lifted some big fish out of heavy cover without incident.

    Trihull,

Grizzly jigs has 12 foot silstar rods for 14.95. I have four of these rods and I have used them for trolling, spidder rigging, and tightlining. The sensitivity is not the best, but for 14.95 you can't beat it. I have not had any problems with any of the tips and I am a little rough on my rods.

I USE WALLY MARSHALL AND SAM HEATON B AND M POLES AND I THINK THEY
ARE BOTH GREAT. THE WALLY MARSHALL RODS AREN'T AS TOUGH AS THE
B AND M POLES. I LIVE CLOSE TO BASS PRO AND THEIR OUTLET CENTER
THERE ARE A LOT OF RECONDITIONED WALLY MARSHALL RODS IN THERE
WITH THE TIPS REPLACED. SOME ARE STILL PRETTY GOOD RODS EVEN WITH
A FEW INCHES BROKE OFF THE TIP.

Between us, Paul and I have 5 Wally Marshall's (8, 9 and 10 ft) that we've been using for a little over 2 years now and they've performed real well. We also have 4 or 5 BnM poles (10, 11 and 12 ft) - they've done good too, however we've had 3 of em break and replaced the upper half of each.

Take a look at the Richard Williams' line of Poles. They are called Crappie wizard poles. He goes by the nick name of "Weezer" on this board. He is a guide on the big sandy area of Ky. Lake near Paris, Tn. He takes care of the people who use his poles. A good product and a good price!
