    Default Lantern hanger

I'd like to be able to hang a lantern like I used to over the side of the boat. Necessary? No, just something about the smell of burning bugs that I missed the last couple of times out. What do you guys use? I did some googling, no results.

I made this one using 1-1/2" metal conduit and a 90 degree PVC conduit. The pedestal floor mount holds it.It can swing it to either side of boat.

I like that Len. Is that just 2 pieces of conduit screwed to the 90 or is the piece coming up from the floor mount attached to something? I think even I could make something close to that!!

Yes that is two pieces of conduit bolted in the ends of the PVC. The piece coming from the floor is a piece of galvanized fence post because it was a tighter fit in the floor opening and the 1-1/2" conduit fit inside perfect. The brace under the 90" elbow is 15" inches of 1/2" conduit and the brace that is bolted onto the lantern shield to keep lantern from swaying is 3/4" inch flat aluminum 17" long.
