    Default Fish with clousers??

For those that like to fish with clousers, here's a few that I tie up that have been doing really well down on the Texas coast and really hot in the San Diego bay area!!

    Hey Tex -
This cajunized Texan has been tying/fishing Clousers along the Louisiana coast since - well, since I was still good-looking enough for the girls to want to go fishing with me. Ain't anymore, but the point is that if you only pass a half-dozen close wraps around the bottom layer of hair right in back of the eyes, the fly's body will be a bit deeper - like a pogy. A lot of folks tie it your way - exstending the thread toward the hook's bend, but you might try it mine - the original I believe. Caught a lot of fish on 'em like that. Some, like my 36-pound king mackerel, still hold the state fly fishing record.
That was just a bit of lagniappe. Do what trips your trigger. Just thought I'd offer my two cents' worth.
    Pete

Thanks for the insight Pete! I'll be sure and do a spread of jigs in that manner!
