I got hit hard by today's storm (6/16/09) pics

This happened about 4 pm this after noon. I didn't get all the stuff cleaned up from the last storm.

Water calmed down after storm went through. 70+ mph straight line winds.

Chit happens.

what a mess. we got the storms up here but haven't heard of anything near that bad.

If that happened to me I would say more than "CRAP" Don't get out there and get too hot CP while cleaning up that mess. Might have to wait on cooler weather to tackle that mess. Son-in-law works for Entergy and they worked saturday and Sunday repairing downed poles and lines.

You summed it up rather nicely. I've still got limbs hanging that I can't reach from an ice storm 1.5 yrs ago. Nature broke them over, gonna let nature bring down. Stay very liquid while working on the mess and please be careful!

This spring we got hit a good many time this year with tornado's and straight line winds. It seemed like ever week or two there was another one. Lost power over a large area on one line of storms that took out trees and poles over about a 50-60 stretch of T-Bend. Just lots of bad storms.

Matter of fact I think we had at least as many days with lake wind advisory as not. We went a few weeks that ever day was like that. Don't remember a year with as much wind as we got this year.

All we can do is keep cleaning up after them.
