I am just curious if you guys ever night fish for crappie and if you have had some good success doing so. I know its fixing to be too hot to day fish much and the fish will be real slow of the day. I have tried to on Woods about 5 or 6 times now and have never had a great night just some decent ones.I do the lights thing and have always had a good time on the water. Its always still and peaceful and nice and cool if you wait till pretty late to get there.
We used to night fish under the bridge with lights and had good catches but now that all the stripe are in ther it seems slower for crappie.I have found that sometimes it takes a while for the minners to start circling the right way to draw in the crappie. We have slayed them at times just finding a brushpile in 10 to 15 feet of water and use the lights. But dont use shrimp for bait, you will tear up your little crappie reel.
