    Default reels

wondering what reel most use when vertically jigging standing timber, small bait casting or spinning? i've tried small casting reels but quality seems below par and the line slips into the gears and tangles. thus i have switched to spinning reels.

I like the 10 series spinning reels. Quantum Optix is what I have on mine.

I like the lineholder crappie reels myself, very light, but I don't jig very deep. Eight or ten feet is about as deep as I have jigged so far. I can see needing a better type reel, that actually reels and has a good drag, if jigging as deep as some of you guys do.
