Curious which one you recommended... looks to be some iPhone/Tapatalk formatting issues. Did you recommend the Aji-Do 1G-class or the Aji-Do 5G?

I don't know which AH recommended but I have the Aji-Do 1g and out of the 4 or five others I have from the JDM market it remains my go to rod. It was my first JDM purchase and it was a perfect fit for me. Another one I have that is a very very close second and still in that price range is the Palms Pinwheel. They are very similar in weight, feel and action, at least to me. It was my second purchase and sees a lot of fishing time as well.

Thanks for the all the suggestions. Gillchaser I always fish from a boat and I’m wanting this rod for casting and twitching during pre and post spawn. My current combos I’m using 6lb 832 suffix with a leader but lately I’ve been using straight braid and haven’t noticed any difference but the lake has been very dirty.

Alphahawk something weird happened to your reply, I can’t make it out.
Thanks gillchaser999 thanked you for this post

I was recommending the Aji Do 1G line. But the 5G line is a great rod for what you pay for it and it is slightly under your stated budget of 200.

These type of posts are no good to my wallet .
I learned of reasonably priced rods that I didn’t know existed and even though I shouldn’t have even looked them up , I did ,read the reviews , checked out the specs , and ordered another rod .
One I don’t need , but the Palms Pinwheel caught my eye.
    I ordered the 5’6” UL.

Greenwing, other than what I’ve posted previously, I can’t really make a recommendation.
Being a bank fisherman mostly my rods fit the conditions of where I fish that particular day, whether it be an open dock , or a tree lined creek .
I’m also a micro jig fisherman most of the time . 1g or less .
Fishing tackle is my addiction and I have accumulated several pieces of equipment along my journey.
But I think what may work for one person may not work for another .
Good luck on your choice .
If it doesn’t work out , there’s a lot out there to try .
