I see your point, but I’m a sucker for super light and effortless start up gets my attention. I’ve had one that really impressed me, and I still have the second one like it. I wore out and dropped the first one. The one I still have is 20 years old. It ain’t gonna last forever, and neither am I. The rods I’ve built outperform my expectations and if I have a higher end rod, I’ll buy a better blank and build it myself. I held a Phoenix blank today that had me weak but it was a 1-5 class rod, and weighed nothing. I told myself not yet.

I’d love to fish a 5 oz 1000 size reel for a couple hours. It’d probably spoil me and I wouldn’t touch my other reels .
It’s hard to imagine a reel being that much better.
I feel You can buy a reel for a $100 today that would have cost three or four times as much ten years ago.
This is the problem with these reels. When you fish the good ones you don’t want to go back down….then the journey begins….LOL. In 2012 I got the Luvias…then a Certate…then a Daiwa Ignis Type R…then a Shimano Twin Power, all made in Japan. I told myself that this is expensive and I went down to the Daiwa Iprimi reel. I immediately got rid of it. Was it a bad reel….nope….it just wasn’t as good as what I was used to. The Presso is one of my favorites. I have 3 reels out in my shop that I’m supposed to do a review on…3 reels worth 1800 dollars. The Stella…Exist and a Vanquish. But they are not mine. A guy wanted to see what I thought of the reels and do reviews on them. I have had these reels since September and I really need to get them back to him. But I sure wish they were mine. The feel you get when one is in your hand is amazing. I have said for years I will buy an Exist someday but never have. The new Exist SF coming out is only 135 grams for the 1000 series. As I have told folks on my YouTube channel since it started…one certainly does not need these reels to catch fish. While many will say they’re overpriced and so on, one can’t deny just how fine a piece of machinery they are. It reminds me of when I did my 3 years in Germany and got to hunt there. I was introduced to the finest shotguns in the world. I was privileged to be able hunt with them. Of course I could not afford those guns but I sure wish I could have.

Unfortunately Randy, I know about shotguns too. I hold myself into the brownings. I have friends with the Perazzi and Krieghoffs and so on. Wonderful work on those.

I used to live within 10 miles of Ottsville PA. where Krieghoffs are built.
I never had the urge to visit the place.
I also know a guy pretty well for a long time who has numerous trap guns.
He has broken 100 straight numerous times, but never 200 straight.
So about 10 years ago he took a trip to NY and got all measured up for a Perazzi.
He has since had it restocked, and had other things done to it as well.
Last i heard the dream still eludes him.
Id be willing to bet that there are some who did that with a Remington, or a Winchester 101.

You guys quit buying these . I haven’t made up my mind if I’m going to buy one yet and if y’all keep buying them the price is going to go up. .
Just kidding, congrats! Let us know how you like it .

If I could order spools from AliExpress using PayPal without making an account, I would have already ordered shallow spools for my several Fuego LT’s I own and wouldn’t feel the need to buy a Presso .
It took me awhile before I ordered from JDM Tackle Heaven .

It's been about a year since I first ordered from aliexpress, so I don't remember the whole process. I did probably set up some kind of account. I log in using my google account, so I do get a lot of emails from them about differnt products and such, however I don't really use gmail for my main email account. I do use paypal when buying things from them.
Thanks gillchaser999 thanked you for this post

Yobuck, look up a guy named D. Lee Braun. He was sponsored by Remington and won everything he entered with out of the box Remington guns. Quite talented.

Chaser, if I get set up with them I’ll let you know and I’ll get what you want added to my order and send em to you. I’m wanting some spools for my regals.
