In a previous post you suggested an Abu Garcia Mass Beat III SUL rod .
I didn’t buy the SUL , but because of your suggestion I did order my 6’3” Mass Beat III light four piece travel rod .
It has become if not my favorite, definitely one of my favorites.
I find that once I get it in my hand , I don’t won’t to put it down .
Although a four piece rod , it feels like a one piece and is lighter than a lot of my one and two piece rods .
Fished with 2# P-line Floroclear line , it’s a blast to catch gills and fun size green fish , up to a couple of pounds , so far .

That’s a good looking rig, no doubt. I’m tougher than most on my gear and I’m afraid I’d break a four piece rod. I must say it has my interest though. Nice fish too.

That’s . One thing about this rod is it’s reasonably inexpensive. Around $70 shipped. I ordered myself a a spare one bike they were available. Takes about two weeks to get it but it’s worth the wait .Originally Posted by skeetbum
