Default Abu Garcia Mass Beat III UL casting rod

I got a chance to play with Abu Garcia MB 3 casting BFS UL rod this morning.
It was cold , in the forties and misting rain , but I wanted to give the rod a try .
The reel I used was a KastKing Zephyr BFS reel loaded with four pound test P-Line.
Lure was a brass 1/16+ spinner I built last night to try out today .
Casting varied . Most of the time my cast were around 50-60’ , but occasionally I would surprise myself and I would get 75-80’ . I’m not sure if it was casting abilities or the reel .
I did notice the drag kept adjusting itself , getting looser the longer I fished before noticing and tightening it back .
I only landed one small bass that put a nice bend in the Mass Beat rod . It would bend down to the handle . I had at least four short strikers that I witnessed hitting my lure but I missed hooking them . So is the way of using single hook lures instead of trebles .
This would make a great bluegill rod .
I own a couple Daiwa reels I’ve half spooled with some p-line and I’m going to give those a try with this rod . Ones a Fuego , the other is an Exceler .
Fishing with a baitcaster is different. It’s not as easy to fish with as it is a spinner . Maybe because I’m not as use to using one .
The second pic shows my spinner I built .

Wow, gill, it didn’t take long to break in the new rod! Nice catch.
