    Default Ordered 63LML TenRyu Lunakia

Just ordered the 63 LML Luna. With the Yen to dollar still pretty good, and a sale going on at JDM Tackle Heaven it was just hard to pass up. While this rod is rated as LML the line specs have it really as an UL rod with a max mono line rating of 3# test. Having owned the 610 Luna for several years...and knowing just how fine a rod they are, I had to order. Usually I would have bought something totally new to me but knowing the quality, sensitivity of the Luna...and the price almost made it a no brainer. Intended use is for trout on the Little Red. Trout in the 12 inch range will be a ton of fun but this rod can also handle the 20 inch fish you may just happen on in the Little Red.

i have to slow down on buying
last week i bought the evergreen scoutmaster from shimreels for bass fishing for my ned rig rod.
than the next day i seen tackle heaven had the limber tip in stock, first time i seen that in 6 months, so i had to buy as well, both will be here tommorrow.
last month i bought the abu garcia 6'10 light rod real finesse, i believe that rod is more UL with very fast action.

grats on the rod, hope it fits your needs

Thanks Gill…..it will be months before I fish. Getting house setup is taking longer than I thought. Being 71 is the issue….LOL. For those of us who buy JDM gear this is just a great time to buy. The yen to dollar will not stay this way forever so I’m looking for the exceptional deal…which this was one.

You need to take a break ever once in awhile, just to relax.
All that stuff will still be there the next day .
I’ll be 72 in a few months. I know all about that getting old stuff . LOL !

What does the LML rating stand for? I guess it's not an UL rod?

Light Medium Light.......but that is a rating for a hybrid light game rod. Got to throw out the door what we think when seeing that rating compared to US rod ratings. The rod is rated for 3# test line max...that alone to me puts it in UL territory. Comparing it to my UL area trout rods I am sure the rod will be more rigid. Not sure I would have ordered this for bluegill but expect it to shine for trout in a river setting.

Congratulations on the new rod, I ordered the 6.10 Lunakia a couple weeks ago, couldn’t resist the good deal. Have been lurking a lot just not posting much because I have not fished since August myself. Will be back on the water soon and posting some ETN reports.
