Congrats on the 6’3”. I bet it will be a fun stick for those trout. I’d like to see you hook one of those big browns on it. You would have a fight on your hands for sure. I talked to Jeff on Saturday at the expo and was pitching him some colors I’d love to see made in trout magnets. I know he is aware several of us use the TM for crappie and hopefully he will add some more crappie colors. I did pick up some cookies and crθme. Black bottom with a white top that he said has been killing the rainbows. I can see the vast majority of the trout I catch so it might be nice to see the bait with the white being on top and the black on the bottom. I’ll give a whirl and report back. Hopefully the house stuff will settle down and you can get back after them!

How can you tell which is the top , and which is the bottom?
Couldn’t you just flip it over on the hook ?

The top part is flatter and the bottom is more rounded. I suppose you could flip it if that’s your preference. For instance this is bison. Black is the top and mealworm is the bottom.

Thanks , I always wondered which was the top .
On the two colored ones I just always put the darker color on top .

Rod arrived today. The Lunakia rods are just really a thing of beauty. The rod is extremely fast....the tip is solid with a diameter of 0.8mm. As you might imagine the tip section is slow...but man does it get into the backbone real quick. TenRyu says this is an extra fast rod and that is a fact. It has a similar action of the Carabus Extreme L model. This rod should be a hoot using spoons in the 3 gram and under category. Thought this rod might be OK for sinking trout minnows but that will not work out with the tip. So as to hard baits it will be the spoons and spinners under 3 grams. After handling the rod it will also shine working a Trout Magnet. This rod would make a great shellcracker rod. Checking the JDM Tackle Heaven site I see that they have them back up to regular price......glad I bought it when I did.

It happens a lot. When I would post videos on rods I would track sales of that rod...at least where I could track them. I know on the Slow Taper Special back when I did the video the guy out of Australia sold 19 of them pretty quick. I knew after the short discussion on here about the Lunakai I had better buy. When I did the video on the Zenon I bought off of Amazon that seller sold out in 2 days....15 reels. He now has more stock but the price has gone up 70 bucks. No doubt in my mind the discussions here on the site drive sales...a lot more than folks might think.

I always wondered about that as well. That said, either side seems to work real well. My favorite baits, and especially the bison color.
