You’re welcome. FWIW, I caught a fair amount of disdain from the “regulars” that told me I’d never catch anything on those spoons……You gotta use Powerbait, son. Ahhh, ok! Good luck with the new spoons. I have a few more new DareDevles to try.

I took the rod out for its initial baptism yesterday.
No catches . except for a few leaves .
The jury is still out on this one .
I noticed I wasn’t very accurate with it casting . It would cast a spoon, crankbait , or spinner a long ways , but I just couldn’t put it where I wanted . When you’re trying to cast parallel to a dock , it needs to be accurate. Too many times I ended up on the dock and had to go unhook it .
Going take some time getting use to .
I have the same issue going from a fast action graphite flyrod to a slow action fiberglass rod .

Yes, those fly rods are very different in how they handle. I just love my slow action fiberglass fly rod. Any size fish feels great!

Gillchaser, accuracy wise I gotta give that to a finesse baitcasting reel and glass rod, uh with some skill throwing in here and there. I really enjoy this fisherman's video from oversea. His baitcasting skill is unparalleled!
