    Default UL telescopic rods revisited!

Hello everyone, not much these days can get me excited over except when a new purchase arrived to the front door, especially if these purchases happened to be a new fishing rod or reel..lol. Well today I took delivery of another telescopic rod from oversea, a Major Craft Native trout serie. My past travel rod was a ML geared toward saltwater pier and jetty fishing excursions and I was in need of a TRUE affordable UL telescopic rod for panfish and trout. Back in August several members posted questions looking for the same answer and I came to conclusion that Daiwa Wise Stream rod was out of my price range so I waited. I didn’t know when Major Craft produced these Native mobile version of its Trapara ( which I own), but it’s a no brainer since I love the quality of the 2pc Trapara XUL to bits! Without further a due, here it is: photo previews!

These photos point out important UL-specifications that are lagging when searching the net, including material quality and craftsmanship. Hope they help those still on the fence.

Finally my duo of travel rods, catching anything from micros to snooks and striped bass….

Great first impression review and pictures .
2.4 oz isn’t bad for a multi sectional rod .
Looking forward to your slime report .
    Thanks .

Nice rods! That UL Majorcraft would make a great pack rod for Mtn trout if it's durable and sensitive. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Gillchaser, sliming is in the near future. However as per rod weight it is very in spec with even high-end rod like the Smith Dagger Stream( my first choice if fund wasn't an issue) which 5ft model weigh in at 2.5oz, not because they can't build lighter, it's because I believe trout rod will need to have less carbon fiber in its blank therefore its a bit heavier than the lightest of light Ajing rod like the Abu Eradicator prototype which is insanely light at 1.09 oz! Thanks for chiming in!
