Nice trip, those are some good looking fish.
I met with my fishing buddy this morning at our favorite lake .
The water was down at least another foot . Judging from the water line at the bridge , its about six feet low and still falling .
I told my buddy last week , we were going to have to change our tactics with the falling water level and falling temps .
I caught two green sunfish on my 56 Daiwa Trout rod and a nice hybrid gill using an olive jig I tied up just last night . Olive chenille with two tone rubber forked tail .
Then I switched over to a 1/32 Dardevle spoon . I actually used a red/white , a hammered green/silver , and a gold one . I had luck with each color .
I used the spoons on my 5 Daiwa Trout AT and 56 Daiwa Gekkabijin Ajing rods , both with Daiwa 1000 Legalis LT reels .
I liked the 5 Trout AT the best . Had a lot to do with the grip .
Total I caught 13 , two greenies , ten gills , and a very spunky 6-7 spotted bass that unhooked itself in my hand and flopped back in while I was attempting a pic .
Some beautiful gills that come out of the clear water at this reservoir.
The bigger the Bend , the Wider the Grin !
Very nice
