Anyone interested in any of the .5 gram #8 daiwa jigheads? I have both black and glow in color. I am just thinning out some of my jigheads. I have some cultiva jigheads listed in the classifieds right now as well.

Bumping this to see if anyone has any current intel on the current status of the best JDM jigheads. I know previously the consensus was that the gekkabijin SW light SS jighead was the bees knees.

I see they only have them in the luminous color now. They also have designated different versions for different hook gauges. Looks like they have the regular, fine, and ultra fine. Has anyone bought any since they changed them?

Also has anyone tried I_fish BG jigheads? or the daiwa SS TG jigheads(bit pricy)

I have the i_fish.....Daiwa SS TG jig heads. I_fish jig heads are pretty good....as good or probably better than most US market jig heads. The SS TG is also good. But...I have not run into anything as sharp as the Daiwa SS jig heads. Thankful I still have enough for a year or so. I also have some trout lures with the SS hooks. Victors jig head are only in a coupe of sizes....at least for right now. One jig head that I have is the Gamakatsu Yohime Round. Its sharpness is very close to the Daiwa SS. One thing I can say is the JDM light game jig heads are much better than any light jig head you will find in the US market.

I’ve taken the luminous ones, stripped the paint off of them, and powder painted (pro tec I think) them black.

So what is the difference in the two? i_fish jig heads vs Daiwa SS TG? How is the SS TG different from the SS?

The TG jig heads are tungsten. Victors jigs are lead. SS stands for Saq Sas….the SS hooks are chemically sharpened. Sharp as a needle. For what ever reason they have not made the black SS jig heads in a long while. And I see now there are very few of the red SS jig heads left around.

Daiwa does have atleast two new jigheads out and one of them is tungsten with the ss hook. I’ve been watching for them to come available but I’ve bought so many of the other daiwa tungsten heads I may hold off for now.

I've been doing the same thing.
If you cast it they will come.
