First time I ever ate trout I made a big mistake and ate the skin. About 10 at night that taste started coming up……I have never had it since.

The only way I like trout - besides fighting on my hook - is smoked wild trout. I never eat the local Chattahoochee river put-and-take trout.

I haven't eaten trout in 36 years. We used to go to our camp for the first weekend of trout when I was a young kid I ate it baked whole in butter, got sick later that night. Didn't eat it again till I was 18, fried fillets this time, tasted fine when I was eating it, about 4 hours later I was driving down the road, had to pull over because I got sick. I don't know if it is just in my mind or a physical thing but trout just doesn't stay in my body, neither does Tequila!!! Trout and Tequila are both permanently banned from going in my mouth.

Even though the wind was blowing 20 MPH today and it was snowing, I couldn’t stay away from Normandy. Could only brave the elements for about an hour but had another 10 good trout.

Beautiful trout Alphahawk. Our trout are both wild and fingerling stocked. They grow in the river and great lakes before they return to spawn. We cook our trout and salmon skin side down in the oven. I do like smoked trout and salmon though. I think there is a difference in how they taste depending on how long they have been living in the wild. The water quality in our trout streams is generally very high.
