    The retailer has shipped a replacement already .
    It came in a hard cardboard tube that got bent into an L shape . I don’t know how they do it . I’ve had to cut the tubes up with a saw to get them to fit into our garbage can . Tried bending them and couldn’t do it .

    Drove a truck or forklift over it, probably. UPS did the same to a Daiwa Signature Elite bass casting rod I ordered last year.

    That sucks but with the volume of packages they handle stuff is bound to happy. Best part, replacement on the way!

    Received my replacement rod today .
    And in one piece , as it’s supposed to be .
    I guess USPS can do it right sometimes.
