    ... reminded me of it because it was all about Joe Robinson's book on UL fishing. He loved and promoted these old reels.

    FYI: I think I was the second or third person to join the Threadlining forum.

    I was a member way back when. Site got trolled then it disappeared. One of my favorite forums and helped me get started into the extreme ultralight style.

    Yeah, it was fun while it lasted. It never took off like the UL fly fishing site did.

    I still have my copy of Joe Robinson's "Piscatorial Absurdities". I scanned it and made a PDF that I keep on my iPad and phone. I still enjoy reading it.

    I haven't been able to find a copy. Any idea where one might get it?

    I don't think it is available anymore. I read somewhere online about a year or so ago that someone was going to work on getting a 2nd revision of the book done with updated information but haven't seen anything since. Can't even find a used copy on ebay. Definitely a rare bird.

    It would be a cool read. I’ve read henshalls book of the black bass and found some good info in it. We all started learning this sometime way back, it’s cool to see how it and we have progressed.
