Default High quality ultralight spinning reels

I bought the Abu Garcia Revo MGX Theta 1000S. Probably will return the brand new Shimano Vanford 1000F. Other than the Theta, what other reels are exceptional quality with the following as benefits? These are just things I recall reading, I don't know as much as you guys, but I am going to need another reel in addition to the Theta I just bought because it turns out that I can get my Major Craft ultralight rod tip replaced, yippee!

    - small spool size
    - more bearings
    - good drag
    - smoothness
    - light weight
    - 4.8:1 is a plus
    - less than $350 USD

The price is just an arbitrary limit I have for myself at this time. A more expensive reel, I would need to be super convinced it would be worth it. I am not even sure these higher end reels are 'worth it' compared to my Pfleuger President 6920! We'll see! I am going down the rabbit hole to find out. One thing, on a personal note, is that I normally do not fish over 7-8 hours at a time, so, fatigue is less a factor for fishing all day!

Ballistic is in that price point... Luvias as well but the spool size is 2000... both are good reels... I would get you a Ballistic and put a bearing kit on it from hedgehog...

What would a bearing kit accomplish? Sorry for ignorance. I think Ballistic has 7 bearings?

uh how about a excellent UL rod and reel combo not so pricey, like under $100. We are talking crappie here right? I bought a couple of smaller lady presidents a few years ago when they were on sale and they have been really good. How about a rod to match?

Finding stock on rods can be a challenge right now. The Leland TCB At BnM and Trout Magnet is an excellent rod with a JDM feel. If you can wait a little they’ll be back in stock. That said, they are NOT a slinging rod, but neither are JDMs.

I've been very happy with the Okuma Ceymar reels I just got on Amazon for $40. They're better than a Pflueger President.

I’d probably get another Abu Garcia theta.

Bob, what does "they are not a slinging rod" mean? Cast delicately or what, exactly?

Why do you say they are better, what have you found?
