Default Broke rod, can I replace it with another rod's top half?

Hello, I have this rod -- Major Craft NANO Speedstyle SSS-S682L/SFS. I had real bad luck with it, makes me wonder if it was defective. However, it had the smallest tip end I have ever seen (but I have never seen a JDM rod before this) and it is a hollow tube tip. Got broken somehow and I certainly didn't abuse it because it cost a lot (for me). I got it fixed and it broke in same place. Then, I had the rod repair guy just put a tip on. The rod broke farther down when I caught the first fish, a big bream. None of my other rods have any problems with these big coppernose bream. Whatever, I don't see a future in repairing it again, lol. I was told this rod is out of production. So, buying the top half, the upper section on this 2-piece, isn't possible. What about combining it with a different model top half; could that work? Other than just throwing this rod away. If so, where could I get a top half? Could a Japanese seller understand English to know what I seek?

I doubt another brand top section would work out on that rod. If all you need is the top section contact Digitaka and or Plat and ask them if you can get a replacement top. The top section will not be cheap though…. might be best to invest in some other rod.

    Regards

I didn't mean another brand. I meant same brand, different model. But if it's close to whole rod cost, that doesn't dollar up.

It's been to repair shop three times, why would I? The last time it broke, it broke in a different spot. On a fish! Something is wrong with this rod or else I have no business catching big bream on it.

I have no experience with that rod, but I broke a Tict Ice Cube Rockin' Power while netting a small bass on the first day I fished with it. I ordered another tip section thru Digitaka or Plat, and since I got the second tip section, it has proven to be tough as nails, as I have (unintentionally) abused the heck out of it. I believe absolutely the first tip had a defect, but whether it was from mfg or shipping would be a guess. I don't baby my rods, but they ride inside the truck with me, and are the last thing in the boat - first thing out. If you like the rod, order another tip. My $0.02
