Chris, I've never seen these on your site. Do you ever stock them? I currently have a 5.4m hera rod.

Yep. The floats are specially designed to work with the paste they mix up for bait. The Euros have a similar float, but they don't use paste very much.

No, I haven't had any in the shop. After all the "glorified cane pole" comments I got when tenkara was just getting started in the US, I didn't think guys sitting on the bank fishing with bait and bobber would spend hundreds of dollars on JDM gear. There must be thousands and thousands of crappie fishermen who fish with poles. Must be, as there are dozens of companies that sell poles for crappie fishing. How many guys do you suppose fish with $300 JDM keiryu rods? More than one (I think) but not many more.

    Sad but true.

Not many. However, there are lot more guys fishing JDM spinning rods than I would have expected.

About twenty years ago, one of the Euro pole companies (Maver) came out with a premium pole that retailed for $10,000. Their goal was to sell 50 of them in the UK.

They ended up selling 100. Go figure.
