    Default Boat rod storage questions

I have an Alumacraft vee haul that I fish out of here on Lake Barkley. It has the standard storage locker and also 4 slots on the inside of the boat to keep rods.

Now that I'm using expensive JDM equipment, I really don't like the storage locker approach. It's too easy to break rods when using them. I'm thinking of a vertical rod holder approach. Does anyone here use the vertical rod holders in their boat?? I thought Randy did in his boat, do you Randy?

Just don't want to break high dollar rods...Pictures would help!

Here is my setup. I have one vertical rod holder to the rear and left of my seat. I keep 1 or 2 rods in the horizontal setup I have. I have a bungee that keeps them in place. My boat is not really long enough or I would have more vertical holders. As far as I’m concerned the rod locker I had them build was a waste of money. I never use it except for general storage.

    Regards
