Default Need advice on rod replacement

Normaly and I will, pick the brain of Alphahawk but know theres some other gurus on here. I broke my ticht 6'9" ticht rockin finesse and they are out of stock at digitaka right now. Did see a couple on ebay but since I still own one unbroken one looking for a replacement. I would probaly get the abu garcia but that is also unavailable. Looking for extreme sensitivity and similar action and casting abilty of the ticht and fun factor with smaller fish. Willing to spend 500ish for a rod with a wow factor. What would you suggest that's avaiable out there right now. Scott

Not a guru by any means, but I’ve gone through something similar. I broke the top half of my 6’7” eradicator. I purchased the rod from the link below but digitaka sold me the replacement top section (the rod itself was out of stock at the time there).

If you haven’t already, email digitaka to see if they can source a top section for you.

Looks like there may be a few left if you want to go down the Abu Garcia path.

Can't wait to compare that rod with my Evergreen Limber Tip when it gets here, Scott. Just say when and where.

The RF has a bit more backbone than the Abu IMO... I have both and I really like the fit and finish of the Abu but overall think I might prefer the bend of the RF... next rod I am looking at us the 6.10 light action Abu... we shall see and I figure I’ll pull the trigger on it pretty soon...

500 bucks for a bream rod ....wow you fellas got some deep pockets
i cant imagine , i know folks that build customs that are ridiculous nice for less than that
interesting to say the least ,maybe contact a custom builder if you want to drop that kinda change is my thoughts .
why not have a one of a kind built to your exact specifications instead of an off the shelf rod for that kind of money is my question ?

If you haven't gone down the road of the Japanese high end ultra lights I would give you the same warning Alphahawk gave me in our 1st conversation. Once you put your hands on one you'll never be satsified with anything American made. It's a magical expierance that's truly addictive. As for as custom builders I don't have any expierance with that but I'm pretty sure it's hard if not impossible to get your hands on the Japanese blanks. Always heard they are very secrative about there technology. Yes it's a hobby for the truly afflicated but It's that feeling of a 6 yr. old Christmas morning when the post man knocks on your door with the rod tube in his hand. Scott

Exactly, custom builders can't get JDM blanks, and JDM blanks are the best in the world. The rod I have IS exactly what I want, anyway. I have a garage full of USA/China rods I am giving away to kids every time I meet one interested in fishing. I also use St Croix, Cadence, G Loomis, Denali, Ozark, and even Eagle Claw rods, but these are mostly for bass, or trolling.
